James, now, Partner, and Vice President, joined the firm in 2014, when he moved back home to Peru. James worked for a top national accounting firm in Indianapolis after obtaining his Masters of Science in Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington, but quickly realized he missed his hometown and a smaller firm atmosphere. At Comerford & Co., PC, James enjoys the daily interactions with clients and loves assisting clients in achieving their business and personal goals, whether that is managing unique client income tax situations, helping clients understand their business with financial reporting, or guiding clients through their various consulting needs. Outside the office you may find James running or biking on the trail, playing tennis, volunteering at church, or spending quality time with his wife Katie, 2 sons Declan and Theodore, and nephew Jadin.

After 45 years in the Public Accounting profession – 36 of those with Comerford & Co., PC – Dick is now in gradual retirement and moving to a slower paced lifestyle. Dick is a graduate of Ball State University. His years are filled with the many rewards of meeting and helping clients with advice and services. Most of the clients he had the opportunity to work with have become friends, and some, extended family.

Becky is a Senior Director at Comerford & Co., PC and has been an integral part of the company since 1998. She graduated from Noblesville High School and later earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Anderson University. She earned her CPA license shortly after college. Becky enjoys spending time at her kids’ athletic and musical activities, along with boating or playing games with her friends and family. Becky’s commitment to community extends to her active involvement in her local church. Becky works hard to offer her expertise to help others, finding fulfillment in assisting people with their accounting and tax needs.

Jay is the Office Manager at Comerford & Co., PC. He holds an undergraduate degree from IUPUI and graduate degrees from Valparaiso University and Ball State University. Jay was raised in Peru, Indiana where he met his wife and had their daughter. Jay thrives in environments that look for efficient processes while maintaining and valuing the human element of work. When away from the office Jay can be found reading, with his wife and daughter, working outside, or playing games with friends.

Jaeden recently started at Comeford & Co., PC as a Payroll Clerk and is currently double majoring in Business Administration and Accounting. Born and raised in Peru, IN, she enjoys reading, cooking, being outdoors and hiking, and spending time with her family, especially her son, Samuel. When she is not processing payrolls, she can usually be found with her son and any number of her seven siblings. Jaeden is very excited to be a member of the Comerford team.

Austin started as a part-time Staff Accountant at Comerford & Co., PC in 2021. Now, having graduated with his master’s degree from Indiana University, he currently works as one of our in-house Staff Accountants and focuses his time on our clients and working alongside our CPA’s. Austin is from the small town of Denver, Indiana, and currently resides here in Peru. In his free time, Austin enjoys the thrill of riding his motorcycle and values quality time with friends and family. His vast knowledge in accounting, combined with a well-rounded approach to life, defines Austin as a dynamic professional.

Andrea started at Comerford & Co., PC as a Payroll Clerk in 2016. Born in Las Vegas, NV, she moved around a lot with both parents being active duty in the military. When not processing payrolls, she enjoys spending time with my family, being outdoors, hiking and adventuring.

Cassie started at Comerford and Co., PC as a payroll clerk in 2024. Her family moved to Peru when she was a young girl and she graduated from Peru High School. Cassie is currently working towards a degree in Accounting at Indiana University. In her free time, she loves cooking new foods and spending time with her family and pets.

Ann is a Senior Accountant from Peru, Indiana. She graduated with the class of 1978 from Peru High School. Ann’s most important accomplishment is raising a family. Her hobbies include growing flowers (thankfully, she also maintains the greenery around the office), walking, and taking care of grandchildren.

Amy is a Senior Accountant who has worked at Comerford & Co., PC since 2012.  Amy was raised in Peru, Indiana, and graduated from Peru High School. After graduation she moved to the east coast to attend college and experienced life in a big city.  Amy returned wanting to live closer to family and embrace the quieter life of a small town. She lives in Peru with her husband and daughter, two of the many bright lights in her life.  She enjoys being active, spending time outdoors, cooking, gardening, and spending time with friends and family to name a few. Amy is a proud member of the Comerford team.

Abby began her career as an accounting intern and is now set to join the team as an incoming staff accountant. Currently, she is completing her final year at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and will embark on her full-time role in May 2025. Hailing from Peru, Indiana, Abby has always cherished time spent with her close-knit family and friends. In her free moments, she enjoys supporting local sports teams and playing with her two dogs, Darla, and Oliver.

Melayna is the Receptionist with over 10 tax seasons under her belt. She resides in Mexico, IN with her husband, Jim and their three playful dogs. They have raised three young men and now enjoying their five-year-old grandson, Harrison. Melayna enjoys building relationships with clients and prides herself in knowing clients by name. In her spare time, creativity flows in designing beautiful wreaths, floral decor, and wedding florals. Melayna enjoys time spent with her family sharing meals, playing board games, movies cruising in their 2002 “lil red T-Bird”.
